Pickling quartz sand is wet pickling, which uses various acids. Such as hydrochloric acid, sulfuric acid, oxalic acid, hydrofluoric acid, etc. Wet crushing is adopted before pickling, and some of them are broken by mechanical method, such as hammer crushing. In this way, the crushed materials contain a large amount of mechanical iron. Mechanical iron and quartz sand react slowly in water. After the broken quartz sand is washed with water, some impurities can be removed. Magnetic separation can remove more than 99% of mechanical iron. Acid leaching can add various acids according to the actual situation. Acid leaching equipment must be acid and alkali resistant plastic containers, and stainless steel is not recommended. Some acids corrode stainless steel. If conditions permit, it is recommended to use a reactor or a container with heating and stirring. Make the acid leaching more thorough and the reaction more sufficient. Water washing also needs to be stirred to clean thoroughly.
